For this assignment, we were to create a poster for the 2017 Winter Show.
This week’s assignment was to choose a palette that represents you (at least five colors). Make six compositions within a square and post them on your Instagram and to your blog. For my palette, I chose to use the following:
Our second assignment for the week was to design three expressive words. After looking at the examples linked in the slide deck, I began to sketch a few ideas in a notepad before jumping into Illustrator.
This week’s assignment had two parts. The first being to redesign Delta’s airline ticket. I tried to make sure that the relevant information was easily accessible and easy to read quickly. I find that a lot of airline tickets are cluttered, and it’s hard to see what you need to know quickly at a glance.
The assignment for week two, was to go out and photograph four signs. Two that we thought were successful, two that weren’t so successful, and then to redesign one of the unsuccessful ones.
For this assignment, I chose a reimagining of the Black Swan poster by Hung Trinh. I found the image while searching for an image for the photoshop workshop. On the grid, the separation of the poster is more evident to me. The swan, text, and negative space, are all centered on the page.
