This weeks’ assignment was to design a business card for ourselves or our business. We were to consider typography and layout carefully as well as the logo design we developed last week.

Initially, I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do, so I went back to the fonts I’d bookmarked last week. Eventually I settled on the Caviar Dreams font from dafont.com.

The caviar dreams font reminded me of Art Deco, and so I decided to try to incorporate that style into my business cards.

I started out drawing my own pattern in illustrator, and quickly realized that if I wanted more intricate designs, I was going to have to use vectors. Overall, I’m pretty happy with the way they turned out, and had fun doing this assignment.
