So far, it seems like if I want to go the VR route, that 360 video will be quickest way to get up and running. However, what I need to figure out, is if it’s the best way/most impactful way to tell the story I want to tell. If the vehicle I use to tell the story doesn’t support/add to the story, I need to pivot to a new vehicle, and not get hung up on this one thing.
I took a series of time lapse images outside of the ER, and used the Theta app to stitch them together into a video clip. I’m not sure if it was the way that I exported it, but I had a hard time getting it to be responsive on the viewer. I ended up using a third party software to package it for iOS so that I could view it on google cardboard. It definitely gives you the feel of being in the hallway outside of the ER though, so that’s a start.
Thanks to Xiran and Hafi, I was able to get a quick clip of people talking, so I’m going to export & package it, and see how it looks on google cardboard. You can find my first time lapse video here.
